Nevertheless, it is early to say that we have lost all opportunities to find other assets stolen by the Yanukovych regime. The price of 500 kg of gold is 21.5 million dollars.

Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko confirmed the information regarding the seizure of the gold at a briefing in Mykolaiv. According to him, the precious metal was found in Switzerland.
"I can confirm that a large amount of gold has been found in safety deposit boxes in Switzerland, and belongs to a person close to the so-called ‘Yanukovych family’," he said.
Lutsenko did not say the name of the individual, referring to the privacy of the investigation.
