Media: Russia requested to remove important data from the report on the Kaczynski’s plane crash

Data regarding a sharp heat increase on board Lech Kaczynski’s plane was withdrawn from the Polish commission report at the request of the Russian Federation, as reported by Gazeta Polska.

According to Gazeta Polska, this record may indicate an explosion on board the government TU-154 before the plane hit the ground.

"A sudden jump in temperature is difficult to explain rationally by any other reason than an explosion, especially when it started a series of breakdowns recorded on the on-board devices. These failures occurred when the last signal of the TAWS system (warning system for sharp drops in altitude) had been fixed. That’s why the increase in temperature was not a consequence, but the reason for the outages of all the most important onboard systems," the newspaper underlines.

The article also reports that the Russians were initially interested about the features of the Polish "black box" and advised the previous Polish commission to omit a part of the record.

"This 4.5-second section that showed a sharp temperature increase which was removed at Russia’s request, was found in the Polish commission’s materials regarding the investigation of the plane crash," notes Gazeta Polska.

On April 10, 2010, all 96 people who were on board the Polish military plane, including the then Polish President Lech Kaczynski, died on in a crash over Russia.
