Gazprom has provided the Donbas with $718 million in gas

The head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, stated at a press conference in Moscow on June 30th that the Russian gas company has supplied the occupied Donbas with $718 million in gas under the contract price initially granted to Naftogaz of Ukraine, Ukrainian news portal UNIAN reports.

“As for the gas supplies to the Southeast of Ukraine, we have only one contract signed with Ukraine in 2009. The contract defines the entry point for the gas supply to Ukraine, including the entry points in the Southeast of Ukraine. No other document requiring changing the points of entrance to Ukraine has been signed,” Miller stated, replying to the question, how long the company intended to supply the occupied Donbas with free gas.

The head of Gazprom stated that they supply the Donbas with gas under this contract, as they do in the other regions of Ukraine.

“As of today, the total amount is 718.5 million dollars,” he summed up.

Miller also emphasized that Gazprom has not claimed this amount through arbitration.

“At the present time, the claim has not been brought to Stockholm for arbitration,” the head of Gazprom said.

Gazprom has set a new price at which the company is ready to sell gas to Ukraine. According to the information provided, Russia is ready to start supplying gas to Ukraine at $167.5 per 1000 cubic meters.
