Russian expert predicts airstrikes on Ukraine

If Ukraine breaks the ceasefire, Russia will launch air strikes on infrastructure targets in Kyiv. Mikhail Alexandrov, a leading expert of the Center for Military and Political Studies of MGIMO University, made this forecast on a video uploaded to YouTube.

"As soon as the Ukrainian side breaks the truce, a large-scale offensive by the Donbas troops will begin, supported by our air force and long-range systems. These include missile systems, cruise missiles and Iskander rockets. The basic military infrastructure of Ukraine, including communication centers, systems of control, air defense systems and heavy weaponry will be destroyed,” the expert said.

According to Alexandrov, afterwards, troops that "will clean up the rest of the territories" will advance into Ukrainian territory."

"As soon as this operation starts, Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv regions will be freed; the regime will begin to collapse because other regions will not accept the existing authority either,” he added.

On December 18, there was a skirmish in Svitlodarsk resulting in serious losses sustained by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Six people were killed in two days.
