Ukrainian Military Command: Separatists have begun another offensive against Ukrainian positions

Separatists have begun a new offensive on Ukrainian positions at Avdiivka industrial zone using 152 mm artillery and 120 mm mortars, as reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Military command on the Facebook page.

“At around 17:30 pm (Kyiv time) the occupiers began the offensive on our positions at Avdiivka industrial zone using 152 mm artillery and 120 mm mortars, “ the statement reads.

The Ukrainian military command also noted that ”in spite of the previously reached agreements to ensure the ceasefire required for the restoration of power supply to Avdiivka, the pro-Russian separatist bluntly violated them [ the agreements].”

“This shows again, that the the enemy disrupted the repair work in the city to make the living conditions of its residents worse,” the Ukrainian Military command added.

Later, Hromadske reported, citing the commander of the 72d motorized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Samarsky, that the separatist attack was repelled.

“Ukrainian servicemen detected the subversive group of the enemy. Our military managed to repel the attack and throw the enemy back to their positions, “ Samarsky stated.
According to him, the situation is currently under control. There is no information about losses among the Ukrainian servicemen.
