Ukrainian President Poroshenko buys 430 sniper rifles for paratroopers

With the assistance of the Roshen Company, 430 sniper rifles Zbroyar Z-10 and Savage-110 were acquired and handed over to paratrooper assault units of the Ukranian Armed Forces, reported on Facebook the Advisor of Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Yuriy Biryukov. Biryukov also reminded of the 98 sniper rifles sent directly by Petro Poroshenko to the soldiers of the Special Operations Forces a year ago.

Earlier, Roshen has repeatedly provided assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, the company helped to restore air defense systems, purchased bath and laundry facilities for the Ukrainian troops stationed in the Donbas. This time, they bought 305 sniper rifles including the Z-10 Weaponsmith (also known as UAR-10) and 125 Savage-110 sniper rifles.

According to the President Petro Poroshenko’s tax declaration, he spent 200 million hryvnias ($7.12 million USD) for charity and support of the army in 2017. The total sum spent on social charity and strengthening the country's defense capacity in the period from 2014 to 2017 exceeded 800 million hryvnias ($28.48 million USD).
