Putin and Netanyahu hold telephone conversation to discuss situation in Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a telephone conversation, reported by the Kremlin's press service.

"The issues of bilateral cooperation, including military contacts, as well as the situation in the Middle East region were discussed," the Kremlin reports.

According to the Kremlin, the phone conversation took place at the initiative of the Israeli side.

Earlier, Israeli media reported, citing sources in the government, that Benjamin Netanyahu shared with Trump and Putin his plan on settlement of the Syrian conflict. Netanyahu’s plan reportedly included measures to withdraw Iranian troops from Syria.
