Flight tests of medium-range anti-aircraft missiles began in the Kherson region, as posted on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"At the temporary site near Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region, flight tests of the anti-aircraft medium-range guided missiles began. The tests are being conducted under the leadership of the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Serhiy Drozdov.

The aircraft crews, anti-aircraft missile forces, radio-technical troops, and signal corps, as well as Air Force unmanned aircraft are participating in the tests," the report says.

It was noted that the anti-aircraft missile forces will work on practical tasks with combat (and simulated) launches of anti-aircraft guided missiles aimed at air targets including VR-3 Reis unmanned aerial vehicles.

At the same time the Russian Black Sea Fleet is conducting military exercises off the coast of the annexed Crimea.
