Kyiv and American company Hyperloop Transportation Technologies sign a Memorandum of Cooperation
The Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine and the American company Hyperloop Transportation Technologies signed a Memorandum on Cooperation which envisions the construction of a new rapid transport Hyperloop system in Ukraine.
According to the Ministry’s press-service, the memorandum was signed following the public discussion “Hyperloop in Ukraine” with participation of the CEO and Founder of the American company, Dirk Ahlborn, and the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Volodymyr Omelyan.
Omelyan stated that the first train line using Hyperloop’s vacuum tube technology could be opened in Ukraine within the next five years.
Hyperloop Transportation Technologies is one of the companies engaged in the implementation of the Hyperloop project, which is a transportation system utilizing a vacuum tube. The idea is the brainchild of Elon Musk.
