  • Russia terminates all arms agreements with Turkey

    Russia terminated its military-technical cooperation with Turkey, as was reported to Interfax by Vladimir Kozhin, MTC (Military-Technical Cooperation) Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation.

  • According to Gallup poll, 15% of Americans think Russia is the US's 'main enemy'

    According to a Gallup poll, North Korea has topped the list of countries that US citizens have called their main enemy, accounting for 16% of the votes cast by American participants.  Russia took second place on this list.  

    The reason for North Korea taking the top spot is the Pyongyang's statements about the testing of a hydrogen bomb, and the launch of a ballistic rocket with a satellite.

  • Taliban denies cooperation with Russia in fight against Islamic State

    Al Jazeera reported that the Taliban denies allegations that it is cooperating with Russia in the fight against the so-called Islamic State.

    “We can destroy the Islamic State without any help from anyone. We are having talks but not about the fight against the Islamic State. We want foreign forces out of our country, that is what we are talking about at the moment,” a Taliban representative stated.

  • Turkish military personnel prohibited to go to Russia on vacations

    The Hurriyet Daily reported on 13th December that the General Staff of Turkey has temporarily prohibited Turkish military personnel from going to Russia on vacation due to political disagreements between Moscow and Ankara.
