Ukraine will issue residence permit to foreign investors

On Tuesday, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the whole of bill No. 4541 on the second reading. The bill is designed to reduce barriers to attracting foreign investment. 239 deputies voted for it.

One of the regulations of this bill provides for the issuance of residential permits for investors. To get one, an investor must own or control a stake in a Ukrainian legal entity, valued at a minimum of 100,000 euros.

The bill also introduces a three-year work permit in Ukraine for foreigners. Previously, these permits had to be renewed annually.

The bill also removes the requirements to register foreign investments and simplifies the hiring of foreign employees to work in Ukraine.

It has been a year since the Verkhovna Rada abolished the state registration of foreign investments, but it still remained in legislation.
