Ukrainian President Zelensky's party names opponents and allies

In an interview with the newspaper Ukrainska Pravda, the chief of staff of Ukrainian President Zelensky's party Servant of the People (Sluha Narodu) Alexander Kornienko said that their party does not consider any of the "old political forces" as their allies. At the same time, the party has the same values as Svyatoslav Vakarchuk's new political party the Voice (Holos).

In his opinion, the plans of Servant of the People intersect with Voice "in some regions in the West and a little in Kyiv."

"But we do not consider them as our competitors, because we stand for the same values. Here in the East, Opposition Bloc and For Life (Za zhyttya) parties are our opponents," explained the politician.

At the same time, he noted that the possibility of forming a coalition with the Voice party still needs to be discussed.

"We need to discuss whether it is possible. At first, we need to look who from their party will be registered because not all the details are clear at the moment," - Kornienko said.

According to him, an Alliance with the party Strength and Honor is also possible.

"The head of the Strength and Honor party Ihor Smeshko may be included to the new forces. His party previously participated in the elections, but there are new professionals in their list," the head of staff said.

According to Kornienko, the position of his party regarding the "old forces," such as Opposition Bloc, For Life and the All-Ukrainian Union Fatherland (Batkivshchyna) not to form an Alliance with them, has not changed.

"Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that such unions are impossible. He spoke about the old politicians. Party continues to stick to this position," he said.
