EU denies Tymoshenko’s claims that case against Poroshenko have been opened in Europe

The European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) has not opened any investigations against President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, reports European Truth (European Pravda) news outlet.

“OLAF confirms that there are no investigations related to the president of Ukraine. In case of any new information that may be of interest to the investigation, the OLAF will evaluate it in the context of our usual procedures, ”reads the press service of the EU Delegation to Ukraine statement.

On March 23, the presidential candidate and leader of the Batkivshchyna (Fatherland) party, Yulia Tymoshenko, said that OLAF and the British Serious Fraud Investigation Office had opened corruption cases against Petro Poroshenko.

On the same day, Mirror Weekly newspaper, citing its sources, announced that the United States is opening a number of criminal cases related to the abuse of power by the Poroshenko’s team. At the president’s headquarters, this report was called "classic election nonsense".
