Separatist leader Khodakovsky confirms that Ukrainian Security Service recordings of Zakharchenko's assassination are genuine

Former separatist commander of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Alexander Khodakovsky confirmed the authenticity of the Ukrainian Security Service’s recordings of conspirators plotting the assassination of Alexander Zakharchenko, reports the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) on Facebook, citing Khodakovsky’s posts in social networks.

“We still haven’t learnt to keep secrets. We cut off all communications with Ukraine and they take information from our communication channels anyway. We are looking for spies and they surround us with secret services… Mr. Lavrentiev even went to Turkey in June to discuss plans and took no precautions against leaks, putting everyone in a very awkward position. You should be more vigilant if you discuss conspiracy plans. The walls have ears,” Khodakovsky wrote.

On September 27, the SBU published an audio recording of a conversation between an assistant to Denis Pushilin, the new DPR leader,  and two unknown persons, where they discussed the “replacement” of Zakharchenko as head of the DPR.
