Russia is currently studying possible projects for the construction of water treatment facilities in two Syrian provinces. SANA news agency reported that this was stated by the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Kirill Molodtsov, during a meeting with Syrian Minister of Water Resources Nabil Al-Hasan.

According to SANA, al-Hasan discussed with the Russian delegation the prospects for cooperation and development of bilateral relations. He acquainted the delegation with the projects that the ministry is going to launch in the coming period, including the creation of two water treatment facilities in the provinces of Latakia and Hama.

Molodtsov, in turn, said that Russia is ready to study these projects, and he added that a special group of experts will be formed as a first step in this direction.

According to Molodtsov, the projects proposed by the Syrian government are currently being studied, and decisions on them will be made at the meeting of representatives of the governments of the two countries, which will be held on October 9 to 10 in Sochi.
