Five Ukrainian soldiers killed in the Donbas
The Ukranian military have reported heavy losses in the clashes with the sepratits in eastern Ukraine . On the 28th of May, five Ukrainian soldiers were killed and four were injured in attacks on the Ukranian positions.
“It is unfortunate that in one day, five Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another four of our soldiers were wounded,” this was said by the speaker of the Administration of the President on ATO issues, Oleksandr Motuzyanik, at a briefing held on the 29th of May.
As previously reported, pro-Russian separatits continue to attack the Ukrainian Armed Forces with weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements.
On the 28th of May, 30 attacks were recorded in the eastern Ukraine. Of this amount, 13 came from the direction of Donetsk, 12 came from the direction of Mariupol and five came from the direction of Luhansk.
On the 23rd of May, as a result of clashes in eastern Ukraine, seven Ukrainian military personnel were killed and nine were injured. This is according to the Secretary of National Security Council and Defense of Ukraine (NSDC), Oleksandr Turchynov.
He stated that this is the largest number of losses that have occurred over the last year.
