Yanukovych will cooperate in hearings if General Prosecutor takes into consideration the assassination attempts against him

The former President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, will participate in court hearings on his case only after the assassination attempt on his life is considered in the proceedings. Yanukovych’s lawyer, Vitaliy Serdyuk, stated this in his interview with Ukrainian National News.

“Yanukovych will remotely participate in court hearings until the General Prosecutor’s Office takes seriously the attempts on his life. Currently, this case is in the Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine and the defense makes every effort to accelerate the search and bring to justice those individuals responsible for such acts. Criminals have been preparing this assassination attempt and failed to get it done,” Serdyuk said.

The General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine has summoned Viktor Yanukovych to Kyiv on the 30th of January to participate in the opening proceedings of the criminal case on high treason.
