New DPR leader accuses Ukraine and foreign intelligence services of assassinating Zakharchenko

The assassination of the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko was organized by Ukrainian counterintelligence and Foreign Intelligence Services, stated newly appointed DPR leader Denis Pushilin.

“Our law enforcement agencies have carried out investigative activities. It is absolutely clear who has done this. The terrorist attack was carried out with the involvement of the 5th Department of SBU (Ukrainian Security Service) Counterintelligence,” separatist-controlled DAN news agency quoted Pushilin as saying. He asserted that the explosive device used to murder Zakharchenko was highly sophisticated, thereby proving the involvement of intelligence services of foreign countries in the operation.

Pushilin added that the suspected killer was detained and provided “the full information” while being interrogated.
