Russian Minister of Defense hopes for continued cooperation between Russia and Serbia

The Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, and General of the Russian Army, Sergei Shoygu, is counting on the growth of military and military-technical cooperation with Serbia after the appointment of the Minister of Defense of that country, Aleksandar Vulin.

“In recent years, we have started and done a lot. This also applies to military-technical cooperation, our assistance in the supply of arms and military equipment. Including, of course, military cooperation, joint exercises, and the exchange of delegations not only in the high command, but also at the middle and lower echelons,” the Minister stressed.

He thanked Vulin for the fact that the Serbian team had arrived and participated in the military games. “And it is participating with dignity. Honestly, I was rooting for you in the semi-final. I can not afford this in the final,” the Minister joked.

In turn, Vulin congratulated the Russian Defence Minister on the victory of the Russian team in the tank biathlon and conveyed congratulations from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. He noted the high level of cooperation between the armies of the two countries and thanked Russia for its military and technical assistance.
