Turkey and Russia to start joint patrols in Syria

The Turkish Minister of National Defense, Hulusi Akar stated that Russian and Turkish military will begin joint patrols in the Syrian province of Idlib,  Anadolu news agency reports . As the minister noted, the cooperation of the two countries in this area will ensure the preservation of the cease-fire in northwest Syria.

“Russia will implement it along the borders of Idlib, and the Turkish armed forces in the regions in which weapons were seized from the terrorists,” he said.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia and Syria demanded that the US remove the Rukban Syrian refugee camp located near the Al-Tanf US military base. The joint statement was made by the coordinating headquarters of Russia and Syria for the return of refugees.
