Over the past 24 hours, pro-Russian militants have violated the ceasefire in the Donbas 19 times, while using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements 16 times.
During the day, the militants used 100 artillery munitions of calibers 152, 122, 120 and 82 mm.
"The Russian-occupying forces shelled positions of the Ukrainian Joined Forces Operation using artillery systems, mortars, armament of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small fire arms," reports the press service of the Ukrainian Joined Forces Operation (JFO).
JFO notes that, compared to the previous days, the situation in the Donbas has deteriorated considerably.
In the area of responsibility of the operative-tactical group Vostok (East), the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions seven times near the settlements of Shyrokyne, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Lebedinske, Verhnetroitske and Pavlopol.
In the zone of responsibility of the operative-tactical group Sever (North), the militants carried out 12 shelling attacks near settlements of Troitske, Novooleksandrivka, Krymske, Popasna, free, Gold-4, Zaitseve.
The JFO press-center reports that Ukrainian military responded to enemy’s fire, killing four and wounding 6 militants.
Also, a militants’ anti-aircraft missile system OSA-AKM and Radio Electronic Warfare System R-330Zh Zhytel were hit and destroyed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
