Zelensky goes to Normandy Four Summit in Paris ‘armed with information’

During the meeting of Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), the Secretary of the Council Oleksiy Danilov said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will go to the Normandy Four Summit, which will be held in Paris on December 9, "armed with information" that will be used in the interests of the country. NSDC's meeting was broadcasted on YouTube by Ukrainian TV Channel 5.

"The President [Zelensky] is going to the Normandy Four meeting armed with certain information, which, I think, will be used in the interests of our country," said Danilov.

The NSDC Secretary added that 22 Ukrainian state agencies and special services were working on the preparation for the Summit.

According to Danilov, the Council approved one of the scenarios at the closed meeting. NSCD plans to implement this scenario as the main one. He added that the scenario of the reintegration of the Donbas implies the "return of the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk areas to Ukraine."

Also, as Danilov noted, the authorities plan to bring back Ukrainian prisoners  held captive in Russia and the Donbas, and the third topic in the agenda will be elections in some regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The Normandy Four (Russia, Germany, France, Ukraine) will meet in Paris for the first time since 2016. A condition for the organization of the Summit was the adoption of the Steinmeier Formula, which regulates the organization of local elections in the territories of the Donbas that are not controlled by Kyiv, as well as the withdrawal of forces and equipment in the region (near Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote, and Petrivske).
