Moldavian Parliament appoints new ministers against President Dodon’s wishes

Speaker of the Moldavian Parliament Andrian Candu signed decrees on the appointment of two new ministers, reports Sputnik Moldova. Silvia Radu became the Minister of Health, Labor and Social Security while Nikolai Chubuk became the Minister of Agriculture.

Switzerland denies residency to Russian tycoon Abramovich

The Swiss authorities denied this country’s residence permit for Russian businessman Roman Abramovich. The Federal Office of the Criminal Police concluded that his presence in the country is undesirable, reported Swissinfo.

According to law enforcement officers, Abramovich's presence is "a source of possible threats to the country’s public safety," as well as can cause a "reputational damage for Switzerland."

Israel promises to destroy Russian S-300 missile systems in Syria if they are used against Israeli aircraft

Defense Minister of Israel Avigdor Lieberman said that any anti-aircraft systems that fire at Israel’s aircraft will be destroyed. “If someone starts shooting at our aircraft, we will destroy them. And we don’t care if it was S-300 or S-700,” he said.

Stoltenberg and Lavrov discuss creation of new US military base in Poland

NATO Secretary Jens Stoltenberg spoke about his meeting with the Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov at the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, where they discussed the question of creating an American military base on the territory of Poland, reports RIA Novosti.
