President Erdogan says that Turkey does not recognize annexation of Crimea
At a joint press briefing with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko after talks between the two leaders took place in Kyiv, Turkish Presidrnt Erdogan said that Turkey supports the sovereignty of Ukraine and does not recognize the “illegal annexation” of Crimea.

Russia’s new secret reconnaissance ship enters Mediterranean Sea
The Russian Navy’s latest oceanographic reconnaissance ship, the Yantar, has entered the Mediterranean Sea, Gazeta.ru reports, citing the Turkish websites which monitor the passage of ships through the Bosphorus.
According to the websites, the Russian ship departed from Novorossiysk on Saturday October 7, and its final destination is the Victoria Harbor in the Pacific Ocean province of British Columbia.

Russian SU-24 military aircraft crashes in Syria
Russian Su-24 military aircraft skidded off the runway and crashed at the time of take off at the Khmeimim air base in Syria. All the crew was killed.
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the accident.

Ukraine and Turkey intend to increase the trade turnover between the two countries to $10 billion. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a statement to this effect at a joint briefing with President Poroshenko in Kyiv on Monday.

Media: Russia sends large number of troops to Syria in an attempt to change momentum near Deir ez-Zor
A large number of Russian troops are on their way to Syria to take part in Deir ez-Zor offensive, reports Al Masdar news agency citing its sources in Syrian government.
Earlier, Turkish media reported that the Russian landing ship Azov carrying military and equipment passed Bosporus on its way to Syria. It’s the forth such deployment for the Azov in 2017.
It is expected that the Azov will arrive in Syrian port of Tartus later this week.
