US State Department approves sale of Patriot missile system to Romania
The U.S. State Department approved the sale of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Romania, according to a report from a Pentagon agency said.
The planned sale will be in the amount of $3.9 billion. The contract for providing the missile systems is with Raytheon Co. and Lockheed Martin. In total, seven systems will be sent to the country, as well as radar equipment, guidance systems and other necessary equipment.

Ukraine to build a new ammunition factory
President Petro Poroshenko has proposed the construction of an ammunition factory in Ukraine. Since 2014, in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, 84 foreigners have participated in illegally armed groups with 64 of them being citizens of the Russian Federation, as reported on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office.
