So-called Donetsk People's Republic seizes plant owned by Russian company

Ukraine and Romania sign agreement to connect gas transport systems

The operators of Ukraine's and Romania's gas transportation systems have signed an agreement on connecting gas transportation systems at the Isakcha point, located on the border between Orlivka (Ukraine) and Isakcha (Romania), the press service of Ukrtransgas said in a statement. Turkey and Russia resume negotiations on economic cooperation program

Russia has resumed negotiations with Turkey on a trade and economic cooperation program for 2016-2019, RBC reported.

According to a decree issued by the Russian government, the activities of the Russian-Turkish intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation has been resumed.

Work has also been restarted on the creation of a Russian-Turkish joint fund to finance investment projects in both countries.

Russia increased investments in U.S Treasury bonds

In May 2016, Russia increased investments in U.S. Treasuries for the first time in four months. The investments went up by $5.7 billion to $88.2 billion, Finmarket reported, quoting the results of a survey by the United States Department of the Treasury and the U.S. Federal Reserve System.
