Pierre Richard to Visit Crimea

Tickets to a show featuring Pierre Richard, a French actor and director, are being sold in Crimea. According to the advertisement, Richard will perform in a comedy called Pierre Richard III on February 10th in Simferopol at a local musical theater and on February 11th in Sevastopol, at the Officer’s Club of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia.

Nissan to Lay Off Hundreds of Employees at St. Petersburg Factory

The employment press service of Saint Petersburg's citizens reported that more than 250 employees will be fired from the Nissan Motor Company in March of this year. The Nissan authorities in Saint Petersburg spoke about alleged cuts in late December. However, the exact number of employees subject to dismissal is still unknown.

Nine Towns Left Without Electricity in Crimea

Nine towns in Crimea were left without electricity when a high voltage transmission line broke down. The Russian government press service reported that the Simferopol REN (Regional Electric Networks) suffered a damaged power line that generated 35 kW of electricity. The towns of Hvardiiske, Sofiyivka, Sovkhoznoye, Malenkoye, Zhuravlevka, Shirokoye, Divnoye, Storozhevoye and Kuprino were deprived of power as a result. Repair work is currently ongoing.
