Georgia has high hopes for closer economic cooperation with Iran after international sanctions were lifted. Recently, Tbilisi abolished the visa regime with Iran, hoping to increase the flow of tourists from the south. Russia to supply Iran with S-300 surface-to-air missile systems
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Deputy of the Second Department on Asia, Zamir Kabulov, Russia will begin to supply Iran with S-300 surface-to-air missiles (SAM), as resported by RIA Novosti. Iran has withdrawn the procurement of T-90 tanks from Russia from their agenda. The Commander of Land Forces of the Iranian Army, General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan, said on Tuesday that Iran will focus on the production of their own tanks.

As stated by Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Construction Ahmad Abbas Akhmud, Iran gives up plans to buy Russian Sukhoi Superjet-100 aircrafts to upgrade its fleet.
