  • Russia to exclude American drugs from the sanctions list

    Interfax reports that the State Duma of Russia is amending the draft bill on counter sanctions to avoid prohibiting the import of drugs from the U.S. that are similar to those which exist in Russia, Ivan Melnikov, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, stated.

    “It is planned to exclude from the draft bill the mention of specific industries and specific goods and services and leave only the measures that can be applied,” Melnikov said.

  • Media: US has proof that chemical weapons were used in Douma

    American intelligence officials have evidence of the use of chemical weapons in the Syrian city of Douma, reported NBC News, citing sources in the intelligence community.

    According to the news network, intelligence officials received blood and urine samples of the victims.

  • Russian warships leave Tartus naval base as US prepares to strike Assad

    Russian ships have left the Syrian port of Tartus, according to the satellite images that have been published today by Image Satellite International (ISI).

    Russia blocked a draft resolution that was introduced in the UN Security Council by the United States regarding the establishment of a new mechanism for investigating chemical attacks in Syria.
