US State Department approved the supply of weapons to Georgia
The Pentagon stated that the US State Department approved the possible sale to Georgia of Javelin anti-tank missiles and command launcher systems worth $75 million, RIA Novosti reported. The final decision on supplies will be made by the US Congress.
According to the State Department, Georgia requested the supplies of 410 Javelin anti-tank missiles and 72 launch pads. The contract also provides for delivery, training and other services.
