Putin and Merkel speak about Nord Stream 2

Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel confirmed during a telephone conversation the positions of Russia and Germany regarding the implementation of Nord Stream 2, the press service of the Kremlin reports.

"The position of Russia and Germany on the implementation of a major, mutually beneficial project in the gas sector, Nord Stream 2" was confirmed.

The Kremlin also noted that Putin and Merkel stressed the necessity of continuing efforts to ensure the exchange of prisoners following the "all for all" principle in the Donbas.

“It was agreed that efforts should continue aimed at ensuring the exchange of prisoners and illegally detained persons based on the ‘all for all’ principle," the report on the conversation of the leaders of the two countries says.
