Putin speaks of Trump’s 'big advantage'
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the American leader Donald Trump’s big advantage is his desire to fulfill pre-election promises, reported Interfax news agency.
“President Trump’s big advantage is that he strives to fulfill all the promises that he gave foremost to his voters, the American people,” Putin said. He explained that this is a “positive characteristic” of the US president. Also, according to Putin, you can criticize Trump’s actions, but it is quite obvious that he strives to fulfill pre-election promises.
Earlier, Putin said that an invitation was sent to Trump to visit Moscow. The Russian president added that he would be willing to come to Washington, “if appropriate conditions for work would be created.”
On July 16th, Putin and Trump met in Helsinki. On July 19th, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders reported that Trump would invite Putin to visit the American capital in the fall, and this question is already being discussed. The assistant to the president of Russia, Yuri Ushakov, said that the American side offered to hold the next meeting of the leaders in Washington, but preparations had not yet begun.
