Erdogan promises to support Ukraine’s sovereignty

Turkey continues to maintain and develop strategic relations with Ukraine, stated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his congratulations to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and to Ukrainians on the 27th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.

We are happy to see a mutual desire at bringing our cooperation to an even higher level. Turkey will continue to support the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine,” said Erdogan in his message.

The Turkish President invited Poroshenko to visit his country and to hold the next meeting of the high-level Strategic Council in autumn. He also made good wishes for the Ukrainian people’s welfare and well-being.
