Assistant Secretary General of NATO, Ambassador Alejandro Alvargonzalez will represent NATO at the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
"Assistant Secretary General of Department of Political Affairs and Security Policy Ambassador Alejandro Alvargonzalez will represent NATO at the inauguration of President Zelensky. During his stay in Kyiv, Ambassador Alvargonzalez will also participate in the reception dedicated to the 70th anniversary of NATO," the representative of the Alliance said.
Earlier, the head of the European Union Delegation to Ukraine Hugh Mingarelli said that Brussels has not yet decided which of the EU representatives will attend the inauguration of Volodymyr Zelensky.
On May 16, Verkhovna Rada decided that the inauguration of the newly elected President Volodymyr Zelensky will take place on May 20.
