Column of Russian military vehicles entered eastern Ukraine

A column of Russian military vehicles entered separatist-controlled territory in Ukraine, as reported on Tuesday by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“On the 29th of February, a column of military vehicles came from the Russian Federation into Ukraine through the Novoazovsk checkpoint, which is not controlled by Ukraine.  The column included six armored combat vehicles, four ammunition trucks and two mobile refueling stations,” the statement said.

Also, new personnel are being added to the motorized rifle brigade in the occupied Lugansk region.

“The command of the second army corps are staffing the 7th motorized rifle brigade, which is located in occupied Lugansk, with more personnel.  Colonel Bushuev of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation oversees this unit,” the statement continued.

The Ukrainian authorities have also informed representatives of the SMM of the OSCE that tanks, self-propelled guns and 122-mm MLRS Grads can be found in the areas of Yenakiyevo, Donetsk and Torez.
