Ukrainian Naftogaz will spend $1 million on anti-corruption investigations

NJSC Naftogaz Ukraine has announced open tendering for the purchase of independent financial and anti-corruption investigation services, as reported on the company's website.

The services, to be provided by the contractor before December 31, 2018, will include investigations of suspicious transactions, falsification of financial statements, violations of legal frameworks, bribery and corruption, improper business relationships, misappropriation of assets, and conflicts of interest.

The anticipated cost of the services procurement is up to UAH 26 million. The deadline for proposal submission is 11:00 on August 14, 2017.

Among the requirements for potential bidders are the availability of employees with relevant qualifications who have the necessary knowledge and experience, and the existence of documented experience in conducting financial and anti-corruption investigations, including on the territory of the EU or the USA and on the territory of Ukraine. In addition, the bidder must confirm the presence of properly equipped office / offices in the territory of the EU countries, one of which must be located in the UK.

Naftogaz paid UAH 15.7 billion in dividends and income tax in 2016.
