The Embassy also published a picture of Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, the commander of US military forces meeting with the Verkhovna Rada MPs in Kyiv.

During the meeting, the participants discussed plans to introduce parliamentary and public control over the Armed Forces of Ukraine until 2018 and transition to NATO standards by 2020.

Last April, the military radio communications equipment produced by the American company Harris at a cost of more than $21 million was transferred to the State Border Service of Ukraine.
