Russian Defense Ministry opens representative office in Central African Republic

A representative office of the Russian Military Department is established under the Ministry of National Defense and Restructuring of the Army of the Central African Republic (CAR), as reported on the Kremlin’s website.

The representative office, which consists of five people, will be financed by Russian side.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to send a group of 30 Russian soldiers to Central Africa. Before that, he said that Russia is interested in cooperation with African countries in industry, agriculture, health care, as well as in the areas of communications, geology, and subsoil use.
