The Verkhovna Rada voted to exclude Savchenko from PACE delegation

The Verkhovna Rada supported the decision №5572 on the exclusion of People's Deputy, Nadiya Savchenko, from the Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

237 deputies voted in favor of Savchenko’s exclusion.

One member of the parliament voted against it and 86 did not vote at all.

Her exclusion from the delegation to the PACE was attributed to the fact that Savchenko was elected as part of the campaign to get her released from prison in Russia. In order to exclude her, the deputies had to violate the quota of the faction’s delegates.
