Denmark considers selling three warships to Ukraine

The Danish government may sell three minesweepers to Ukraine, as stated in the publication of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) on weapons export, reported the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry noted that the ships will cost €102 million.

“Most likely, the report is about anti-mine ships based on the modernized project of Standard Flex 300– Standard Flex 300 MCM, of which four units were build – Havkatten (P552), Laxen (P553), Makrelen (P554) and Støren(P555), which were taken out of service of the Royal Navy of Denmark for 2010-2012,” the message said.

A series of 14 multipurpose small corvettes Standard Flex 300 was built from 1985 to 1996 for the Royal Navy of Denmark.
