New US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch arrives in Kiev
The new Ambassador of the United States to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, has arrived in Kyiv, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It is reported that Yovanovitch presented her credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief of Staff of the Ministry, Vadym Prystaiko.
"During the meeting the high level of relations between the countries and the importance of their further development in all sectors in particular, security and economy, were noted. Views were exchanged regarding the status and potential of the Minsk process, and also bilateral cooperation within the UN framework was discussed. The importance of contacts on a high level between the countries was emphasized," the statement reads.
Earlier it was reported that the U.S.A. promised to support Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.
