The head of Ukraine's Fiscal Service to be reprimanded for attending Trump inauguration without Kyiv's permission

As the Minister of Finance, Oleksandr Danylyuk, stated, a disciplinary action will be taken against the head of the State of the Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFS), Roman Nasirov.

As Danylyuk said at a press conference, "for the systematic violation of the orders of the Minister of Finance and for uncoordinated absence at the workplace, I initiated a disciplinary action against Nasirov. The second reprimand leads to dismissal.”

Also, the department will appeal to NABU and NAZK ( the National Agency for Corruption Prevention) concerning Nasirov’s trip to the U.S. for the inauguration of Donald Trump.

"Where is the head of the SFS? — In America. Rather than to fulfill his tasks, he is engaged in self-promotion. He went on a vacation without agreeing on it first with the Finance Minister and the Prime Minister. This is a flagrant violation. He went to the inauguration of the U.S. president, which is not a cheap pleasure," the Minister added.

He clarified that Nasirov's visit cost $250,000.

"And even if not, even if it was for free, I want to ask why was he specifically invited to take part. The law prohibits to accept such gifts and services. I should appeal to the NAZK and NABU, so they could analyze the situation," Danylyuk stressed.
