Donetsk's Shevchenko Boulevard to be renamed after Kadyrov
According to Glavnoe, the head of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, took the decision to rename the Boulevard Shevhenko as part of the ongoing “de-Ukrainization" campaign in areas controlled by pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine. It is to be renamed in honor of the leader of the Chechen Republic, also known as the “patriot of Russia”, Ramzan Kadyrov. Russia Spend €1 Billion per Year on State Salaries and Pensions in DPR and LPR
An investigation conducted by the German magazine, Bild revealed that Russia spends about 1 billion Euros on the salaries and welfare of citizens of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics. According to Bild, this amount corresponds to 0.6% of the annual expenses of the Russian budget.

Ukrainian Intelligence Thwarts Attack on City in the Donbas Region
A cache of munitions was found in the city of Popasnaya in the Luhansk region which the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) suspects was intended for a terrorist attack.

OSCE Observers Recorded Thirty-two Tanks in Occupied Donbas Region
On the 9th of January, observers of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM)to Ukraine recorded 32 tanks (T-72 and T-64) in the temporarily occupied territories which are under the control of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). Ukrainians have requested that the President revoke the citizenship of all separatists and their collaborators.
