  • EU proposes engaging in trilateral gas talks with Russia and Ukraine

    The European Union proposed that Ukraine begin negotiations with the Russian Federation regarding gas prices, offering to serve as a mediator, according to EU Commissioner, Maroš Šefčovič, during the Ukrainian energy forum as reported by a Evropeyskaya Pravda correspondent.

  • Polish Oil and Gas Company Files Lawsuit against Gazprom

    Polish oil and gas company, PGNiG, has filed a lawsuit in the Court of Arbitration in Stockholm against Gazprom, according to a statement on Monday, February 1st. In May of 2015, PGNiG notified the Russian company of the pending arbitration.

    The President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, said that the country has demonstrated its independence from Russian gas during the autumn-winter heating season, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
