    The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has summoned the country’s president, Petro Poroshenko, for questioning about the crimes committed against Maidan activists in January and February of 2014. “A notice has been sent to the president’s administration for November 29,” the head of the Special Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, Sergiy Gorbatyuk, said on Tuesday, November 15.   • Poroshenko: Russia will never admit Yanukovych's guilt

    Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has stated that Russia will never admit that the former President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovich, and others were responsible for the suppression of anti-governmental protests during the Maidan movement.  Poroshenko said this in a televised address to Ukrainians on the second anniversary of the Maidan Revolution.  He also added that the perpetrators of the violence during the protests will be tried in absentia.

  • US State Department calls on Kiev to accelerate reforms and root out corruption

  • Canadian Doctors to Give Free Reconstructive Surgery to Ukrainian Veterans in Kiev

    In Kiev, on February 19 – 28, 2016, Canadian doctors will provide free reconstructive surgery to wounded Ukrainian soldiers and Maidan activists.

    As a correspondent of UKRINFORM reported, this initiative was organized by the Canadian-Ukrainian Fund in cooperation with the government of Canada.  "All operations will be free.  It is expected that there will be about 30-40 patients," the Fund informed.

  • Canal + will not engage in public discussion of anti-Ukraine documentary

    The management of the private French channel, Canal +, refuses to engage in any public discussion regarding the Paul Moreira propaganda film, “Ukraine, Masks of the Revolution.”

    "The management has no intention of engaging in an open dialogue concerning discussion of the scandalous and misleading anti-Ukrainian film,” representatives stated.

    French reporters who work in Ukraine have published an open letter in which they expressed their outrage regarding the broadcast of a propagandistic movie concerning events in Ukraine by French TV Channel Canal+. “We are reporters who are regularly working in Ukraine.   • Ukraine asks French TV Channel to take Anti-Maidan Documentary off the Air

    The Ukrainian Embassy in France called the movie, The Masks of the Revolution, a pamphlet made according to the worst traditions of misinformation, and appealed to the leadership of the broadcasting channel to take it off the air.

    On February 1st, one of the largest and most popular private television channels in France will broadcast a movie by French director Paul Moreira called, Ukraine: the Masks of the Revolution.
